This package includes a physical copy of Microbiology: An Introduction: International Edition, 11/e
by Gerard Tortora, as well as access to MasteringMicroBiology.

This number 1 selling non-majors microbiology textbook is praised for its straightforward presentation of complex topics, careful balance of concepts and applications, and proven art that teaches. In its Eleventh Edition, Tortora, Funke, and Case's Microbiology: An Introduction helps you make the connection between microbiology and human health. This edition continues to incorporate the latest in microbiology research and includes more features designed to engage you and promote critical thinking.

With the complex and extensive information presented in introductory microbiology courses, demonstrating the connections between processes you can't see with your naked eye and diseases you will encounter in future careers can be challenging. Microbiology: An Introduction guides you through the process of disease diagnosis, aided by the practical application of the new Clinical Cases that are integrated through every textbook chapter.

MyLab and Mastering from Pearson improve results for students and educators. Used by over ten million students, they effectively engage learners at every stage.

Through its immersive content and engaging tools, MasteringMicrobiology has helped students make strides in learning for over 10 years. "The practical skills are remarkably better when compared to students in prior years. The number of good to really good students has gone up. Mastering frees the academics from tedious grading, allowing us to concentrate on the practicals." - Brendan Curran and Christoph Cramer, Queen Mary University of London, UK.

With MasteringMicrobiology, students gain knowledge that they will use throughout their lives, and universities gain a partner deeply committed to helping students and educators achieve their goals.
