International Review of Cell and Molecular Biology presents current advances and comprehensive reviews in cell biology--both plant and animal. Articles address structure and control of gene expression, nucleocytoplasmic interactions, control of cell development and differentiation, and cell transformation and growth. Impact factor for 2009: 6.088.
Kwang Jeon received his Ph.D. in cell physiology at King’s College, University of London, UK, in 1964 and taught at SUNY Buffalo and University of Tennessee. His research was concerned with the biogenesis and function of cell components in two major areas: Integration of intracellular symbionts into host cells leading to the acquisition of new cell components and cell variation; Membrane-protein recycling during endo- and exocytosis.
Defective trafficking of rhodopsin and its role in retinal degenerations T.J. Hollingsworth and Alecia K. Gross
Adherens junction assembly and function in the Drosophila embryo Tony J. C. Harris
New insights into the regulation of myosin light chain phosphorylation in retinal pigment epithelial cells Ariadna Yolanda Ruiz-Loredo and Ana María López-Colomé
Cell biology of the chloroplast symbiosis in sacoglossan sea slugs Sidney K. Pierce and Nicholas E. Curtis
Regulation of intraflagellar transport and ciliogenesis by small G proteins Hongmin Qin
Emerging roles for renal primary cilia in epithelial repair James A. Deane and Sharon D. Ricardo
Mechanisms of Cardiogenesis in Cardiovascular Progenitor Cells Jasmin Taubenschmid and Georg Weitzer
Membrane Trafficking and Phagosome Maturation during the Clearance of Apoptotic Cells Nan Lu and Zheng Zhou
