The leading resource on ozone technology, this book contains everything from chemical basics to technical and economic concerns. The text has been updated to include the latest developments in water treatment and industrial processes. Following an introduction, the first part looks at toxicology, reaction mechanisms and full-scale applications, while Part B covers experimental design, equipment and analytical methods, mass transfer, reaction kinetics and the application of ozone in combined processes.

Christiane Gottschalk holds a PhD degree in environmental engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. She is currently responsible for the strategic product development of the business unit ozone at MKS Instruments. Judy Libra is currently a project coordinator with acatech, the German Academy of Science and Engineering. She holds degrees in chemical engineering, civil engineering and environmental process engineering and has taught and researched in the field of wastewater treatment for many years at the Technical Universities in Berlin and Cottbus, Germany. Adrian Saupe holds a PhD in environmental engineering. Having developed the use of ozonation in wastewater treatment, especially in combined chemical-biological processes, at the Technical University of Berlin, he is now working as a program manager with the Research Funding and Management organisation Project Management Julich (PtJ), affiliated with the Forschungszentrum Julich GmbH, Germany.
