How to save the planet while laughing, sharing, and strengthening communities
Creative and innovative solutions to difficult issues are presented in this practical guidebook for environmentally friendly living. Low-tech exercises for saving water, reducing waste, and preparing food help readers take communal actions to benefit their own neighborhoods, and the world at large, while having fun. By stressing that what is most essential is for human beings to relax, work, and play together, this humorous yet important resource shows that an attitude of creativity and abundance will transform environmental challenges into opportunities for personal and collective growth.

Carolyn North teaches movement and sound improvisation for healing. She is an environmental innovator and the founder of the Daily Bread Project, a community hunger organization. She is the author of Earth Above, Heaven Below and Voices Out of Stone. She lives in Berkeley, California. Ervin Laszlo is the editor of a quarterly scientific journal, World Futures, and the corresponding books series, and is a professor of philosophy and science who studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. His research and articles are widely published in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
