Ernö Pretsch is Professor at ETH Zurich. His research covers ion-selective electrodes for trace analysis , miniaturization of potentiometric sensors, potentiometric detection of biorecognition reactions as well as NMR spectra prediction and automatic spectra-structure compatibility tests. He has written over 280 scientific papers, 10 books, and holds 8 patents in the field of Analytical Chemistry. He has received the ACS Analytical Division Award in Electrochemistry in 2005. Philippe Buhlmann is Professor at the University of Minnesota Phil's research interests focus on electrochemical sensors and the development of chemically selective scanning tunneling microscopy. Martin Badertscher is Head of the Radiochemistry Laboratory of ETH Zurich.
