Thisbookisintendedto?llthisgapbygettinga seriesofeminentexpertstoeachwriteachapterortwoonuptodatetissuebanking practices. Moreoverinthemodernworldoftissuebanking,safetyandqualityoftissues havetakenanincreasinglyimportantrole. Infacttheseactivitiesformthebasisof manylicensureactivitiesthatrelatetotissueestablishments. Anattempthasbeen madetocovertheseaspectsaswell. Althoughthelegislationcoversalltypesofcells,includingstemcells,theyhave beendeliberatelyomitted.
Thetargetaudiencesforstemcellsaredifferentandthe setupisalsogenerallyquitedifferentunlikecordblood,whichisverysimilarto tissuesandthereforeincluded.
