There are approximately 8,000 surgeons in the US currently performing spine surgeries. Only a small proportion of these perform deformity correction surgery, partly due to lack of instructional, introductory information on the subject. Filling a significant gap in current literature, this book provides a concise, practical introduction to spinal deformities. The reader will find an overview of treatment options, with coverage of principles and clinical applications. The book is co-edited by a neurosurgeon and an orthopedic surgeon, and includes contributions from a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
