Examines the significant modulatory effects of sleep on most components of the endocrine system. This work assesses the effects of sleep loss on hormones secretion and metabolism. It also examines the role of hormonal and metabolic changes associated with major sleep disorders, such as insomnia, sleep apnea and narcolepsy.
