The focus of this book is on safe, basic surgical practice in early post-injury which will be applicable to the trainee and practising surgeon worldwide, including those working in relatively remote centres. The methods described are well-tried and up-to-date,and employ readily available technology. The amount of space allocated to a particular subject relates directly to its importance in surgical practice.
