This is the latest in a series of volumes based on a postgraduate course in gastroenterology held annually in Oxford and which is now established as an authoritative synthesis of recent developments in the field. It provides consultants and registrars, including those who are not specialists in gastroenterology, with an informed and up-to-date account of selected topics of current interest in relation to the normal functioning of the digestive system and its diseases.
