Dr. Newman is very active in clinical research, focusing on clinical trials and outcomes research in rheumatology. He is a well-published investigator and has received serveral teaching awards. Cynthia K. Matkzo is an advanced practiced registered nurse serving as Geisinger's Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist. In collaboration with Geisinger's rheumatologists, Cynthia's clinical practice is directed to providing care for people with arthritis and other related diseases. She serves as a patient advocate, providing healthcare guidance to patients and their families seeking information about arthritis and its treatments.
