Achievements include the presidency of the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and vice Presidency of The American Assembly for Men in Nursing. In addition, Dr. Avery produced a video exploring the opinions and predictions of nurse leader Dr. Luther Christman entitled “A Conversation with Luther”. Vanessa Pomarico-Denino is a Family Nurse Practitioner in Private Practice specializing in Women’s Health. She is a guest lecturer for Southern Connecticut State University, Fairfield University and the Yale School of Nursing. She received her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Bridgeport School of Nursing, Bidgeport, CT and her MSN in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at SCSU. Dr. Wagner is an associate professor of nursing at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven CT. Her area of practice is pediatric nursing. She received her BSN from Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT, her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania and her EdD from the University of Hartford.
