Profesor Dan' main expertise is electrophysiology, pharmacology of antiarrhythmic drugs, atrial fibrillation and heart failure. He wrote more than 170 scientific papers, presented more than 50 international conferences and contributed to 15 European guidelines. He is a member of the board of several prestigious medical journals, Deputy Editor of the American Journal of Therapeutics and Editor in Chief of the Romanian Journal of Internal Medicine. He is also an Honorary Citizen of the Romanian capital, Bucharest
