Jeryl D. English, DDS, MS, has served as chair and program director of the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston for more than 20 years. He was a professor and the former program director of the Orthodontic Department at Baylor College of Dentistry prior to this appointment. Dr. English has a broad range of clinical interests in treating orthodontic patients, including surgical orthodontic interdisciplinary and functional treatment. Dr. Sercan Akyalcin is a member of the faculty in the department of Developmental Biology and program director for Advanced Graduate Education (AGE) in Orthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Akyalcin oversees all aspects of the AGE Orthodontics program, including the recruitment and admission of highly qualified applicants; academic and clinical aspects of resident research projects; recruitment of part-time faculty; and program-specific curriculum and accreditation standards. Timo Peltomäki is a professor at the University of Tampere in Finland. He is a faculty member in the division of Medicine and Health Technology in the Department of Otology and Oral Diseases. He is highly published and an active member of the research community.
