Designed for use by trainers, mentors and candidates involved in the NVQ Care modules, this pack contains forms and prompt cards, a booklet on how to use the pack and a book containing background or reference material. It aims to enable candidates to identify evidence in support of NVQ credit accumulation in the daily care tasks they perform such as taking a group of clients for a meal. STAMP breaks down tasks and activities into manageable components for easier assessment and accreditation and eases the administrative burdens on organizations who want their staff to gain NVQs by providing ready-made training and guidance about the NVQ curriculum itself. In addition, it shows trainers and candidates how to discern and record proof of competence and knowledge. The ring binder comprises a series of forms which help keep the necessary records of evidence. They can be selected, photocopied and then completed by various people in the workplace. Prompt cards are designed to remind the candidate and/or assessor of essential good care practices. The booklet addresses how to use STAMP and aims to help people in the workplace introduce STAMP in a way that is gradual, flexible and relevant.
The book contains examples of everyday tasks and the NVQ elements which are relevant to them. It also provides a means of identifying and analyzing indicators of workplace quality and gives examples of how NVQ can contribute to them.
