Dr Leon Fisher, BMBS, FRACP, Doc Med. Sci, is a consultant gastroenterologist and Head of Endoscopy at Peninsula Health, Melbourne, Australia, and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Australia. He has completed two post-graduate fellowships and obtained a higher degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has more than 25 publications in peer reviewed journals and a biography published in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. His research interests include, vitamin D, parathyroid hormone (PTH), adipokines, ghrelin peptides, liver function and endoscopy.Associate Professor Alexander Fisher, MBBS, PhD, Doc Med, Sci, FRACP, is a senior consultant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine of Canberra Hospital, Australia, and the Australian National University Medical School. His research interests include: mineral and bone metabolism, including vitamin D, parathyroid hormone (PTH) and adipokine status in older adults with chronic diseases and fractures, osteoporosis, and haemodynamic instability. He is the author of about 350 scientific publications.
