Pharmacokinetics

With its unique approach, this interactive self-study course in pharmacokinetics gives students a solid foundation in the understanding of absorption, distribution, and elimination of drugs over the course of 15 to 20 hours of study. The course consists of three sections--classroom, practical, and test--and the six clinical or experimental interactive scenarios include aspirin and amphetamine overdose, phenytoin multidose kinetics, the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of amoxicillin, and the measurement of amphetamine excretion. The software is designed to be used from the CD-ROM or through a Web browser, and is therefore ideally suited to distribution via an intranet.
