The term communicate comes from the Latin communicare and means "to put in common". Learning how to communicate non-verbally is not only possible, but necessary, given its importance for intersubjective interactions at all levels of our lives: personal, professional, social, among others, and it allows us to broaden the scope of health work to a promotional perspective. Promoting holistic care that involves biological, emotional, social and spiritual needs must involve an effective communication process between therapist and subject. This book therefore invites you to revisit yourself as a health professional and to reflect on "caring" beyond pathology.
She has a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Cruz Alta (UNICRUZ, 2002), a Specialization in Physiotherapy in Geriatrics and Gerontology from the Brazilian College of Systemic Studies (CBES, 2009) and a Master's Degree (UFSM, 2011) and PhD (UFSM, 2017) in Human Communication Disorders from the Federal University of Santa Maria.
