There has been a growing research interest in all aspects of rehabilitation and management of brain-injured adults with an accompanying increase in knowledge of the problems faced by brain-injured adults. This new knowledge is fully reflected in the extensive revisions which have been made for this edition.

It focuses on practical treatment approaches which recognize that many brain-injured adults remain seriously disabled for life.
