Assuming basic knowledge of pacing, this volume covers both the fundamental scientific principles and the clinical applications of rate-adaptive pacing. All different sensor technologies are described with their clinical use.
The new technology of rate-adaptive pacing permits a physiological response in heart rate to allow for physical activity and is more suitable for active younger patients with rhythm disturbances requiring pacing. Assuming basic knowledge of pacing, this volume covers both the fundamental scientific principles and the clinical applications of rate-adaptive pacing. All different sensor technologies are described with their clinical use; other chapters cover comparison and controversies of the various systems.
