Professor J. Calvin Coffey is the Foundation Chair and Professor of Surgery at the School of Medicine, University of Limerick, Ireland. He is a general and colorectal surgeon and is Head of Department of Surgery at University of Limerick Hospital Group. He obtained a B.Sc in Anatomy, MB and PhD from University of Cork, Ireland. He completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery in the Cleveland Clinic, is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and an RSCI Member of Council.
