P. P. Nikhil Raj is a transdisciplinary academician. He has been undertaking research and teaching activities in the core area of environment and sustainability. Dr. Raj’s research question broadly lies in understanding how natural systems tolerate/check the changing scenario of climate and the pressures from various anthropogenic pressures; he is fascinated by studying the trade-off between the social and the environmental systems and the crucial roles played by money and political power in shaping them. Dr. Raj has published his research findings in many peer-reviewed journals and books. He also writes popular articles of socio-environmental importance in newspapers and magazines. R. Mohanraj is a Professor of Environmental Sciences at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India. His primary research interest lies in Environmental Impact and Risk Assessment, Urban Air Pollution, Hydro-Geochemistry, Ecological Restoration, Forest Carbon Dynamics, and Corporate Environmental Management. Dr Mohanraj has published 80 research articles in peer-reviewed international and Indian journals and edited volumes. He has authored and edited seven books by Indian and International publishers. He has presented more than 80 research and review papers in international and national level seminars /symposia/conferences, including COP meetings, as an invited speaker. He had also organised/coordinated several national-level conferences/webinars/refresher courses, academic events and outreach programs.
