A collection of 12 investigative modules in physiology designed for the introductory college physiology laboratory. Physiofinder was developed as an alternative to traditional physiology lab practices, and as such, avoids terminal animal experiments and dangerous body fluid experiments. Experimental, rather than tutorial, each of the 12 modules consists of a collection of exercises centered around one topic that provides the beginner student with both investigative and analytical experience. Physiofinder establishes experimental conditions and generates the experimental data, then leads the students to answer questions which are either factual or theoretical. It also allows students to have simulated access to equipment that the instructor may not have. Physiofinder is dedicated to encouraging critical thinking in an experimental format that is readilly accessible to the beginning student of life science.
