Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Investigating Root Canal Morphology

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a surgery that corrects a wide range of diseases, injuries and defects of the head and face, jaw and neck and skull vault, both soft and hard tissue of the mouth, jaw and face area. This field is considered as one of the specialties of medicine in the world, but in the United States, it is one of the specialties of dentistry. In Iran, it is one of the specialties of dentistry, which lasts 5 years after the general course. Educational items include small intraoral surgeries (minor), traffic injury surgery (trauma), surgery for jaw and face infections, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the jaw and face, skull and neck, surgery for benign and malignant tumors and cysts of the jaw and face and neck, surgery for congenital and acquired defects such as unilateral and bilateral cleft lip and palate, and surgeries that can be performed in the mouth, jaw, face, skull and neck area.
