This two-volume introduction to pathology is aimed at undergraduate medical students and trainee pathologists taking their first postgraduate qualification (MRCPath). Volume 1 deals with the general principles of pathological processes and incorporates a discussion of the normal cell structure, genetics and function. Volume 2, on the other hand, concerns the pathology of particular body systems. Each chapter starts with an explanation of normal structure and function and is followed by a description of the structural, cellular and molecular basis of each disorder. The chapters end with a discussion of the pathophysiology of each system.
