Every year, thousands of couples have to cope with the problem of infertility. Based on 12 couples' success stories, this study explores the latest medical techniques as well as the emotional and physical challenges involved. The narratives reveal how innovative techniques such as laser surgery, GIFT (gamete intrafallopian transfer) and IVF (in vitro fertilization) are being used to overcome endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, polycystic ovaries and male infertility.
