COVID-19’s Consequences on the Cardiovascular System

Dr Sanchis-Gomar graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia (Spain), where he also received his PhD degree. His main area of interest is exercise-induced damage such as myocardial fibrosis, inflammation, pathological remodeling, and arrhythmias as well as its implications in sudden cardiac death. During the COVID pandemic, Dr Sanchis-Gomar became an expert in COVID-19, with in-depth knowledge of the subject and actively involved in research.
