This new edition has been revised and rewritten to include advances in obstetric practice. New sections have been added and include sections on AIDS, chronic villus biopsy and DNA technology. Others which have been revised and updated include hirsutism, infertility, cervical smears, the combined pill, research in contraception, maternal mortality, preconception clinics, minor symptoms in pregnancy, diabetes and home deliveries.
