The author is a practicing clinician, coach and led development of a clinical leadership and quality improvementtraining program for doctors and dentists and training in the UK. This book is aimed at doctors and healthcare professionals in training positions and those moving to a new role.
Dr. Lundy graduated from Queen's University Medical School, Belfast and completed training in paediatric neurology and neurodisability in Belfast and London. She is a practicing children's neurodisability consultant with an interest in service development and quality improvement. Dr. Lundy is a fellow of the Scottish Patient Safety Fellowship Programme and a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. In the last ten years she has developed a Clinical Leadership and Quality Improvement training programme for doctors and dentists in training in Northern Ireland. She has a part time role in the Northern Ireland Healthcare Leadership Centre working as a coach supporting colleagues in a range of clinical disciplines as they undertake service improvement or redesign. Dr. Lundy has a strong interest in develop the non-clinical skills that are important for the successful delivery of healthcare and has supported post graduates with additional training in team work, communication skills, improvement and innovation. She has supported colleagues preparing for interviews and recognises that clinicians often need guidance on how to present their knowledge and experience to an interview panel with led to the development of this work.
