Sondos Albadri, BDS, PhD, MFDS RCS (Ed), MPaedDent RCS (Eng), FDS (Paediatric Dentistry), FHEA, is Professor and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, University of Liverpool. She is the Vice Dean for Research and postgraduate studies and the teaching lead for Paediatric Dentistry for both UG and PG programmes. Sondos graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1997 with a BDS and completed her PhD from Queens University Belfast. After completing specialist training, she joined the University of Liverpool in 2008 where she completed her consultant training in Paediatric Dentistry. Since June 2015 Dr. Albadri has been Honorary Editor of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) and Chair of the BSPD Conference Abstracts and Prizes Committee. She is also Associate Editor for the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry. Her research focusses on improving the quality of clinical outcome, clinical effectiveness and efficiency, and enhancing the patient experience in clinical dental practice. She is the author of almost 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Claire L. Stevens CBE, BDS, MFDS RCSEd, M Paed Dent RCPS Glasgow, MPhil, FDS (Paed Dent) RCS Edinburgh, is a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry with special interests in the use of media for dental health promotion and commissioning at a regional and national level. After graduating from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2000, she worked in both primary and secondary care settings before completing higher level training and an MPhil in dental erosion. She was appointed as a Consultant in June 2009 by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). In 2010 she was the recipient of a CMFT/NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre Research for Patient Benefit Grant (2010), which supported the investigation of patient acceptability of intravenous propofol sedation in adolescent dental patients. She won the Trust's 2011 Research and Innovation Prize for this work. Since 2010, Dr. Stevens has held office with the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD). As Honorary Secretary (2010 2015) she was involved in the design of national care pathways for paediatric dentistry, and in September 2017 she was elected as President.
