Prof. Surajit Pathak, PhD is currently working as a Professor at Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chennai, India (From 2015-till date). He is currently also working in Linkoping University, Linkoping, Sweden as a Principal Research Scientist (2022 June- Dec 2022). He has received his Ph.D. degree from India in 2007 and completed his post-doctoral training (2007-2015) from the University of Alabama, USA, University of Padova, Italy and University of Linkoping, Sweden. His current research focuses on “Biomarker discoveries for early detection of colorectal cancer”. He has published more than 100 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals of repute with 2100 citations and 27 H-index. He received various research grants including Core International and National research grants from SERB-CRG (DST, Govt of India) and DST Indo-Italy Bi-lateral research projects and from other international funding agencies. He has various active International and National Research collaboration. He is the editorial board member of various renowned international high impact journals. Dr. Pathak has Edited Springer Nature book entitled “Cancer Stem Cells: New Horizon Cancer Therapy” in 2020 and Elsevier Book "Stem Cells and Aging" in 2021. He is the member of various professional research bodies of India including Indian Association of Cancer Research, Indian Science Congress, and Aesthetic Multispecialty Society (AMS). Dr. Antara Banerjee is presently working as an Associate Professor at Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE), Chennai. After completing her PhD in 2008 from India, Dr. Banerjee pursued her post-doctoral Later she worked as a Research Associate at Linkoping University, Sweden till 2015. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed research articles in International and National Journals with citation index-1247 and H-index 18. Her core expertise and interest are to investigate aspects the tumor specific niche as a therapeutic target for colon cancer including the epigenetic signals with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic strategies to improve treatment outcome in patients. The Banerjee’s lab at Chettinad Hospital & Research Institute is now focused on understanding the role of mesenchymal stem cells niche in tissue regeneration and exploring signaling pathways in governing stem cell fate. She received various research grants including Early Career research grants from SERB-ECR, Govt of India, and from other pharmaceutical companies She is Editor of Springer Nature book entitled “Cancer Stem Cells: New Horizon Cancer Therapy, 2020” and Elsevier Book "Stem Cells and Aging" in 2021. She is the member of various professional research bodies of India and abroad including Indian Association of Cancer Research, Indian Science Congress. Dr. Atil Bisgin was born in 1979 and had medical education in Cukurova University, then Medical Genetics in Akdeniz University. In 2015, he established AGENTEM where more than 15000 molecular tests per annum have been performed including NGS-multi-gene panels, clinical exome, whole exome, and whole genome sequencing. He performed more than 400 presentations, 150 as an invited speaker, and has more than 100 published papers in indexed journals. He has on-going international research projects and multi-centric multi-phase clinical trials in oncology and rare diseases. He is a board member of human/medical genetics societies about novel technologies in diagnostics, quality assessments and establishment of national databases for several countries. He has been working in Cukurova University Medical Genetics Department since he established in 2013 within international institutional cooperation. He gives training courses for newly established next-generation-sequencing laboratories and multi-omics research centers, designs (inter) nationwide targeted multigene panels for clinical practice and pipelines, also gives service of genetic testing with clinical reporting via his Infogenom-AB initiative. He is giving lectures in medical faculty and responsible for bioinformatics, immuno-/onco-genetics, translational medicine and biotechnology masters’ degree and PhD training in Institutes of Natural and Applied Sciences, Health Sciences and Addiction and Forensic Sciences.
