Since its introduction, MRI has led the way to such a considerable improvement in the clinical diagnosis of head and neck illnesses, that in many cases it is already the first procedure used in radiological diagnosis. The possibilities of non-invasive MR angiography and three-dimensional reconstruction have further widened its potential and consequently narrowed the gap between the radiologist and surgeon. The implications of this imaging procedure in the diagnosis of diseases of the head and neck, encroaching on many subject areas, are brought together in this volume. The illustrations demonstrate the technical and diagnostic possibilities of MRI in the investigation of the head and neck region. A comprehensive diagnostic strategy is presented with each analysis.
