This section of the "Soviet Medical Reviews" series focuses on key developments in Soviet fundamental and applied haematological research. The series is intended to make recent Soviet medical advances available to Western scientists who do not read Russian. In this volume contributors describe gravitational plasmapheresis and its effect on the ASB in myocardial infarction; the haemoaggregatological effect of therapeutic plasmapheresis on patients with acute sepsis; plasmapheresis in the combined treatment of endotoxicosis; and prostaglandin E2 treatment for acute renal failure of various etiology.
