Joel D. MacDonald, MD graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, School of Medicine in 1989. Following his general surgery internship at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. MacDonald completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine, Salt Lake City, Utah in 1991 and followed with fellowship training in cerebrovascular neurosurgery at the University of Florida School of Medicine in 1995. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. MacDonald's other accomplishments include being Editor of NEUROSURGERY://ON-CALL(r), principal architect and engineer of OPCODER, procedural tracking software for residency credentially, co-chairman of the University of Utah, Brain Attack Program and guest abstract reviewer for NEUROSURGERY. Dr. MacDonald has lectured on topics such as aneurysmal disease and subarachnoid hemorrhage, arterial venous malformations, and dural arteriovenous malformations. Mark Greenberg, MD, attended medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, and received his neurosurgical training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center under the direction of John M. Tew, Jr., MD. Currently, Dr. Greenberg is in private practice in a large, multi-specialty group in Lakeland, Florida, where he also enjoys the sunshine and raising his two children. Dr. Greenberg is also author of the "Handbook of Neurosurgery".
