It consists of a background text (available separately) and a set of exercises and activities to promote participatory learning about HIV and AIDS. The background text has been completely rewritten so it contains the most up-to-date scientific information available, as has the booklet of training guidance. It includes a range of carefully developed new exercises. Epidemiological understanding, pathogenesis and therapy receive special attention.
