Laparoscopy in Urology

Urological surgeons have been at the forefront in pioneering many of the new procedures in laparoscopic surgery. This book provides a detailed account of all aspects of laparoscopy in urology. It is divided into sections: Part 1 is devoted to instrumentation, describing the principles, scope and limitations of the new technology available to the surgeon; Part 2 concentrates on general techniques including the placement of ports and wound closure; Part 3 covers general complications in which guidelines for avoiding common complications and what to do when complications occur are described based on the authors' extensive experience. The major section of the text is devoted to specific operative procedures, including laparoscopic lymphadenectomy, laparoscopic ureteric surgery and laparoscopic nephrectomy.
