Sheila Sanning Shea, MSN, RN, ANP, CEN, is an emergency nurse practitioner (ENP) with over 30 years of clinical experience. She works in the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California. Karen “Sue” Hoyt, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, CEN, FAEN, FAANP, FAAN, is an emergency nurse practitioner (ENP) and works at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California. She is currently a clinical professor for the NP/DNP Programs at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science at the University of San Diego.
