This book covers the advances in the field of ophthalmic plastic and orbital surgery. This book aims at educating the general and specialist ophthalmologists and residents about the various facets that this niche subspecialty has to offer in the future. It covers the latest evidence-based approach in the diagnosis and management of various oculoplastic disorders. Chapters are supplemented with ample illustrations and well labelled diagrams wherever necessary. Chapters include key topics such as imaging, orbital decompression, lacrimal surgery, and orbital trauma. Chapters on navigation-guided orbital surgery, oculo-facial aesthetics, socket surgery, and targeted therapies on peri-ocular and orbital malignancies complete the coverage. A special chapter on photographic documentation in oculoplastics guides readers on how to capture the images for future reference and work.

As part of the series 'Current Practices in Ophthalmology' this volume is meant for residents, fellows-in-training, generalist ophthalmologists and specialists alike.

Adit Gupta is a double fellowship trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon. Over the past eight years he has performed several procedures for the cosmetic, structural and functional rehabilitation of the eyelids and lacrimal region in India and the USA. He completed his MD in Ophthalmology at the Advanced Eye Centre, PGI Chandigarh, after which he completed his Oculoplasty fellowship at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. He pursued further training for his second international fellowship (in orbitofacial cosmetic surgery) at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, Los Angeles, California. Dr Gupta's current focus is on cosmetic eyelid surgeries, complicated orbital surgeries, and rehabilitation of patients with thyroid eye disease. Apart from clinical work, Dr Gupta is actively involved in researching, developing and teaching minimally invasive techniques for orbital and cosmetic surgeries..

Prerana Tahiliani is the founder of Mumbai Eye Plastic Surgery, a dedicated Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Centre in the city of Mumbai. She completed her post-graduate training at the eye clinic Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati, followed by a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery and Ocular Oncology at the LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. During her time at LV Prasad, she developed a keen interest in ocular oncology and ophthalmic plastic surgery. She followed this up with research stays at the UCLA, CHLA, Los Angeles and the Jules Gonin Eye Institute in Lausanne. Her current focus is on ocular oncology, cosmetic eyelid surgeries and nonsurgical rejuvenation of the face. She is an active researcher and avid teacher who enjoys encouraging the younger generation to take up this subspecialty.
