Developed using Macromedia Flash, "Simbryo" constists of six vector art animation modules of normal embryologic system development: early development, cardiovascular, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, pulmonary and head and neck. A developmental clock is shown in the upper right hand corner to depect the time frame of each animated process. Large high-quality animations allow the user to navigate by pausing, slowing the speed, moving backward, moving frame by frame and zooming. The CD-ROM includes both lecture (instructor) mode, made for in-class presentations, and full (student) mode, complete with pop-up text boxes that narrate what is going on in the animation.
