Hemangiomas and vascular malformations are common place congenital birth marks (i.e. port wine stains) either present at birth or developing during the child's first years of life. In the past, the treatment of these congenital vascular lesions lacked a detailed plan of therapy, partly due to the belief that, given time, they would disappear. This book provides a new classification of the disorder which permits physicians to conduct a more sophisticated diagnosis and to select the most scientific approach of treatment for their removal with minimal blood loss.

Milton Waner and James Y. Suen are the authors of Hemangiomas and Vascular Malformations of the Head and Neck, published by Wiley.

The classification of vascular birthmarks; the natural history of hemangiomas; the natural history of vascular malformations; diagnosing congenital vascular lesion; pathology of hemangiomas and vascular malformations; radiological features of hemangiomas and vascular malformations; psychosocial implications of vascular birthmarks; treatment options for the management of hemangiomas; management of hemangiomas; treatment options for the management of vascular malformations; management of vascular malformations.
