The aim of this book is to provide a simple text describing the techniques of head and neck surgery for the trainee in otolaryngology, plastic, oral and general surgery. The book is based on an annual course held by the authors and attended by over 500 participants. This edition of a book first published in 1972 has been expanded and a section on controversies in management has been added. The chapter on reconstruction has been completely rewritten to include musculo-cutaneous and free flaps, neither of which were available when the last edition was written.
