In addition to research on the aetiology, incidence, characteristics, and treatment of stuttering, the author includes information on neuromotor control research, comparison of developmental stuttering to neurogenic stuttering, and advocacy/self-help groups. In this revised and updated handbook, the author has interwoven the results of some 400 studies at appropriate points in the text and included 2000 references.
