Nikolaos K. Paschos. Dr. Paschos's interdisciplinary background spans the fields of orthopedics, sports medicine, emergency medicine, biomechanics, and regenerative medicine. He is committed for continuous education and training towards improving quality of life of patients. Originally from Greece, Dr. Paschos completed his medical education and residency training at the University of Ioannina, and after spending some time in the UK and Ireland he moved to the USA. He holds a Ph.D. in biomechanics and tissue engineering, and he has worked at the University of California Davis. He is currently working in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Division of Sports Medicine at the Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Since 2010, he serves in the Executive Board of Directors of FORTE (Federation of Orthopaedic Trainees in Europe) where he served as the President of FORTE from 2013 to 2014. During that time he initiated the process that led to the birth of the Orthopaedic Study Guide Series.

Professor George Bentley, Emeritus Professor of Orthopaedics and Director at the Institute of Orthopaedics, UCL/Stanmore and the RNOH, has recently been awarded the British Orthopaedic Research Society's (BORS's) Presidential Award for outstanding achievements in British Orthopaedic Research and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the International Cartilage Repair Society for his Pioneering work in Cell-based Joint Cartilage Transplantation. He graduated from the University of Sheffield and carried out his surgical training at Oxford and Oswestry followed by a period in the United States in the University of Pittsburgh. He returned to Oxford as a Reader and then moved to Liverpool as Professor of Orthopaedics & Traumatology. Previously, he has been Vice President of the Royal College of Surgeons and Chairman of the Joint Examination Board of the Royal Colleges in the UK., President of the BORS, President of the British Orthopaedic Association and  President of the European Federation of Orthopaedics & Traumatology(EFORT) . Professor Bentley was given the Presidential Award at the BORS Annual Conference in Liverpool in September for his outstanding work and pioneering contribution to Joint Repair and Regeneration by the use of Cartilage Transplantation and Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation.
