The Gait Workbook

This workbook is designed to provide a basic understanding of normal and pathological gait. The text begins with basic concepts, such as terminology and pathological mechanisms, and proceeds to a regional analysis of normal and pathological function. Later chapters discuss gait through life span, gender differences, cultural variations, changes seen in aging populations and clinical examples. Thought questions are provided for each chapter with answer keys and bibliographic references at the end of the book. Features include: a structured format for learning observational gait analysis; a regional approach to gait analysis including - the foot and ankle complex, the knee, the hip, the pelvic girdle, the trunk, neck, arms and head; reviews of basic anatomy, kinesiology and deformities of each lower extremity region; and a solid understanding of normal and pathological gait.
