Dr. Paraskevas (Vakis) Kontoes received his pharmacy degree from the University of Athens, Greece in 1980 and his medical degree in 1985 from the same university. He did his residency in Plastic Surgery in USA and UK. Since 1994, he is a specialist in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery. Currently, Dr. Kontoes is president, director and owner of the "Laserlight Clinic", Athens, Greece and director of the plastic aesthetic and Laser surgery department at the "Hygeia" hospital in Athens, Greece.Dr. Kontoes was a founding member of the European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery (ESLAS) and served as president for the years 2010-2014. He has now been awarded with the title of honorary president of this society for life. Dr. Kontoes is an active member of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and he has been elected as visiting professor for this society. He is also the education council Chair of ISAPS. He is a pioneer of Laser Aesthetic surgery in Greece and Europe. He is the author of more than 100 scientific publications, among them the innovative evolution of the Laser Blepharoplasty technique with the Single Suture Traction Technique (SSTT).
