Ferdinando Agresta, MD, is Chief Department of General Surgery at the Community Hospital of Adria, Italy. He has been the main investigator in several studies on laparoscopy and above all emergency laparoscopy. Thanks to his expertise in the field, he has been involved in the writing of several guidelines on laparoscopy and emergency laparoscopy. He is author of almost 100 paper in peer reviewed journal and Editor of 3 books on this topic, published by Springer Fabio Cesare Campanile, MD, FACS, is Chief Department of General Surgery at the Community Hospital in Viterbo. His current research fields and activities are the same as Dr. Agresta,and he contributed to the development of guidelines in laparoscopy as well. He authored more than 100 articles in peer reviewed journals and is author of 2 books.
