This guide to the teratogenic risks of the 250 most commonly used drugs covers transplacental carcinogenesis, embryonic or foetal death, and foetal and perinatal pharmacologic effects of drugs. It also discusses the effects on the nursing infant of maternal use of such drugs during lactation.
This guide to the teratogenic risks of the 250 most commonly used drugs provides information on transplacental carcinogenesis, embryonic or foetal death, and foetal and perinatal pharmacologic effects of drugs. It also discusses the effects on the nursing infant of maternal use of such drugs during lactation. Risk ratings are provided for each particular drug, including both an estimate of the magnitude of teratogenic risk to a child born after maternal exposure to the drug during pregnancy; and an assessment of the quality and quantity of the data on which the teratogenic risk estimate is based.
