Arrhythmias Tutorial

This tutorial covers sinus node function and dysfunction, APCs and all of the major supraventricular tachycardias: atrial fibrilation and flutter, multifocal atrial tachycardia and PSVT (paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia). The Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and its associated arrhythmias are discussed as is the use of digitalis, adenosine, beta blockers and calcium channel blockers to treat supraventricular tachycardias. There is also a discussion of the carotid sinus reflex and its clinical significance and the appropriate use of carotid sinus pressure in arrhythmia management.
