Hideyuki Kokubo is born in 1958 in Japan. He learned biophysics at Nagoya University. After graduated, he worked as an editorial staff to edit books of science and mathematics at Sanseido Publishing Co. Ltd. He has been contributing to parapsychology and related areas since the 1980s. Since 1996, he has experimented ki and psi from viewpoint of biophysics. He holds various positions in Japan, among them Research Director of the International Research Institute, and Researcher at the Institute for Informatics of Consciousness (Meiji University). In addition he is the Executive Editor of the Journal of International Society of Life Information Science and the Managing Director of the International Society of Life Information Science (ISLIS), as well as the Director of the Society for Mind Body Science (SMBS). Recently, he has used cucumber as bio-sensor for ki (bio-psychokinesis) and studied various properties of ki-phenomena. He has found clues that ki (psi) follows simple laws in physics.
