This title recognises that clinical cases are a key component in modern medical education, assisting the trainee or recertifying clinician to work through unusual cases using best practice techniques. It also acknowledges that psoriasis is an important discipline in this regard since it is a highly visual subject requiring the reader to describe often very subtle differences in the presentation of patients and define accurately the diagnostic and management criteria to base their clinical decision-making on.

The objective of this book is to provide readers with an overview of the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of psoriasis. As part of the Clinical Cases in Dermatology series, the range of titles cover the most common skin problems encountered in clinical practice and many of the rarer diseases that may be encountered by the practicing dermatologist.

Through the 7 year Honors Program in Medical Education, Dr. Wu earned a BA in biological sciences from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and an MD from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Wu completed his dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine, California, where he was chief resident. Dr. Wu is currently a Councilor for the International Psoriasis Council and a Medical Board member of the National Psoriasis Foundation. He is co-editor for 2 textbooks: Mild-To-Moderate Psoriasis, 3rd edition, and Moderate-To-Severe Psoriasis, 4th edition, which are the most widely referenced textbooks on psoriasis. He has written over 150 peer-reviewed articles, of which over 50 are about psoriasis. He is the President-Elect of the Los Angeles Metro Dermatological Society and Board Member of the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery (CalDerm).
